My name is Jeanette Nagtalon and I have been a Shop Steward for the IAMAW local 140 for about 10 years. I am also involved in the Audit committee. I got involved with the union with the help and encouragement of my fellow co-worker and now executive member Roel De los Santos. As a shop Steward, I encourage members to take an interest in the union and to participate. I really enjoy my position as a Shop Steward because I am the link between members, the union and management. I keep members informed by circulating memos, news and updates. At some point in the future, I would like to take part in more challenging positions. For now, I am dedicating myself to the service of my fellow union members as a successful shop steward.
Hi Everyone! My name is Claudia Hulan and I joined the Air Canada Family in October 2013. I became active in the Union in January 2015, first as Shop Steward of the 2nd Floor, and now – since my transfer to Payroll – the 1st Floor. I am also serving as a Trustee on the Executive and I am a member of the Audit Committee. As part of the Union I had the opportunity to attend Leadership Training 1 in Maryland USA and a Union Conference in Toronto. I still have a lot to learn, but I welcome your thoughts and concerns.
My name is Carolyn Alexander and I joined our Local Lodge in 2000. I have 10 years of experience being a shop steward and 8 years of experience on the Human Rights Committee. I have also attended Level 1 Shop Steward training at the IAMAW William Wipinsinger Training facility. In addition, I have received my certificate in union counselor training provided by the United Way.
